NEWS
Search and Rescue work continues. Yesterday Emergency Workers were going house to house and unit to unit to verifying occupants were “OK”. Once we go beyond Search and Rescue, owners will be able to drive on Hickory Blvd. In order to have access you will need to provide proof of ownership or occupancy.
The road equipment has arrived on Hickory Blvd!!!!! They are slowly working their way north. Note: According to a news report, in some places along Hickory Blvd the sand is 5 feet deep. We are one step closer to driving to CB1.
CB1 OWNERS WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP
Some of the suggestions we have received to-date.
Suggestion:
We should install a generator to get power to the units of the building.
Action:
Unfortunately, this will not work at this time, FPL checked the the building. Currently, we don’t have a viable electrical system in the building, nothing to hook up a generator too.
Suggestion:
We should suspend our contracts with normal monthly services for example: Summit Broadband, lawn service, etc.
Action:
This is a great idea. Most contracts allow for a term suspension(?) due to damage caused by Acts of God. The board and LeeAnn (Property Manager) are gathering the details of our contracts.
Suggestion:
We should have an attorney review our insurance policy so we can better organize our filing.
Action:
One of our owners is going to review the insurance policy/contract so we have a clear and concise understanding of the process for filing and the coverage.
Suggestion:
Do Owners need water remediation in a unit.
Action:
Jason, owner of unit 404 has a friend in the remediation business:
BlueSky is the company. The Contact is: Brian Sadorf, Project Director
